DNS is so important to the essential services of today's Windows networks that it's got to be the most common and most frustrating parts of your job to troubleshoot.

Your DNCP or Active Directory won't function at all without your DNS and many other services on your network rely upon DNS to function properly.

The process can seem difficult but print out this helpful graphic and hang it on the wall. It can serve as a simple reminder on how to go about troubleshooting your DNS problems.
