Eram reduces it maintenance costs

Paris, January 5, 2006 – ORSYP announces that its Dollar Universe Job Scheduler will considerably reduce maintenance costs for Eram's IT production activities.

Eram Group's IT system is based on a multitude of applications and dedicated in-house developments. All of the IT systems are centralized in a single location where the Group's 1,450 outlets are connected. The Group's last store closes around 9:30 pm, then starting at 10 pm every night, a continuous sequence of IT processing tasks are executed, some of which are critical. These tasks especially include centralizing the sales of outlets belonging to the Eram Group's various brands (Eram, Gémo, France Arno, Taneo, Bocage, Divergence, Heyraud, Na ! and TBS.) which need to be processed so that before they open the next day, each outlet knows the comparative sales figures for the preceding day and which items they need to restock.

Before integrating ORSYP's job scheduler , Eram used another job scheduler. However, Eram indicated that for technical and commercial reasons it would need to change its system when the contract was due to expire in early 2004. It was then that Eram sought to find a new job scheduler, wanting to reduce the amount of nighttime processing as a priority. As a result, Eram required:

• Total system re-engineering ,
• Putting all of the IT production to work while ensuring that what existed was reused,
• Optimizing processes and extending operation automation to all of the applications used by the Group.

This was how ORSYP came to be chosen. ORSYP was able to provide answers to Eram's specific problems while offering a multitude of related services like:
