Windows Scheduler - ORSYP

In a business-computing context, a job scheduler programs the automated execution of background tasks (batch jobs) at pre-determined points in time (e.g. every day at 8pm, midday on Wednesday). Windows systems come with a native Windows Scheduler that provides a basic service (WinAt) locally on each machine.

However, business processes may span multiple platforms, applications, countries and even companies. Their complexity may require much more functional power than a native Windows Scheduler can offer. For example, the Windows Scheduler may need to take into account national and regional variations in the working calendar, jobs may need to be arranged in a certain succession that may vary according to the day of the month.
